Viking Glass For Mirror Images Mama Bear Ruby Red Figurine from New Martinsville Mold. Condition is “Used”. Mama bear stands 4 1/2” tall. She has a mold indentation on her right hind quarter and a mild craze on the underside of her base. These are manufacturing marks, not damage. Please see pictures. There is also an area between her right front and back paw that almost looks like an impact wound, but is smooth to the touch. This area extends on the underside of the base as a hairline crack that can be felt with a fingernail. Close inspection suggests it is a transition area in the mold that was likely present since birth. One final, small, rough area is noted on Mama’s back, left hip area. There is no fracturing, just minor abrasion, again, likely part of manufacturing process. None of these imperfections detract from the beauty of the piece. Viking red is superb!
